About Bree Overly
I am a coach certified by the Courageous Living Coach Certification program, an International Coaching Federation (ICF) accredited life coach training program. I also have a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Education and Human Resource Studies with a specialization in Adult Education and Training. Prior to my career as a life coach, I worked extensively in higher education with a focus on student support, admissions, and human resources. I also facilitated groups for parents of neurodivergent and twice-exceptional children as a volunteer.
My experience with neurodiversity originates with becoming a parent in 2009 and raising my twice-exceptional (2e) daughter as she experiences school, friendship, existential challenges, and deep curiosity and imagination. Experientially, intellectually, and spiritually I have learned volumes and grown significantly from this parenting journey as a parent, spouse, and individual.
I am intrinsically interested in people who are living and/or working with significant challenges in life. This is reflected in my master’s thesis, which was a case study on a first-generation college student who was also a single parent pursuing a bachelor’s degree at a non-traditional age.
I am particularly interested in emotional regulation, parent-child communication, accessible mindfulness practices, human complexity, and how to find our way as neurodivergent individuals.
